Interesting the cities in WA or Oregon isn't in the list, I guess they are in average range, between safest and dangerous.

Aww... Dallas, TX is only #22!? Why can't it be #1!?

Ha ha! Come to St. Louis, the THIRD most dangerous city in the U.S. for the AllDeaf caucus!

Seriously, I feel more safe in St. Louis than I did in Los Angeles. I think the cities of NY, LA and Chicago bribed the writers to take them off the list or something.

This is probably a ratio of crimes per capita. Meaning, if 2 cities both have 1000 crimes, and 1 city has 1,000,000 people and 1 has 2,000,000 people, then the citiy with 1,000,000 is considered more dangerous.

Louisville, Ky

same in Louisville, Ky have bad areas..shootings. murders.. but aint scaring me used to live in bad areas

Bingo! Precisely right! It is really relative and it can't always be quantified by numbers. Everybody has their percieved unsafe places.

For me it is DC especially the SE portion. Now as I no longer live there, I hear the whole place is getting to be a zoo.

Basically, any place that holds a minority population is very dangerous. They are not interested in improving their lives or doing something good. Yes many places that hold a minority population is getting to be a zoo. It is sick and evil. A good example is 100 years ago Gallaudet University was an all white neighborhood and many positive things were going on. Now it is a crack and violence infested minority neighborhood with no one interested in improving their lives or doing something good. There are a few minorities that want good things and to improve themselves and they are very much hated for it and they do from the petty to the extreme from saying simply that they are a " sell out " to openly killing each other over an issue that was good and self improvement. How deranged is that? They gotta punish themselves. It is sad, really. They just don't get it. It is a real shame for themselves.

NYC and El-Lay (Los Angeles) ain't that bad as you think! Its the news that stretch stories too far! It all depends on what area in these major cities your talking about.

I know because I have been there (Both Cities). I once thought El-Lay was terrible place until I visit there. Man! I fall in love with El-Lay! I wish I can move down there but Im pretty much stuck up here in New Yawk. I got families living down in El-Lay, :)
