Moon over Chicago

This moon picture was taken on the way to the store. Apologies for the dimness-- sun was behind me.

Wasn't that taken by a professional photographer , CB is taking photos for fun and learning and I think that is great he is going this.

Finally got a decent photo of the moon. :P



It's bright, all right.

Your second and third shots in daylight were better. The night shot was taken at 1/10 of a second and f/2.4. Better would have been somewhere around 1/160 second with an aperture of f/4. A steady rest or tripod helps greatly.

If you don't mind, I can post one of my moon shots in the photo of the day thread.

You're welcome to. And FYI, I'm using a Windows tablet. It's as close as I'll get to decent quality. I have an Android one, but it's too small for certain pictures in my other thread here. The Windows tablet better meets my needs.
