Monitor screen turned yellow. How can I solve this???

Could you be more specific? Does the whole monitor show just plain yellow or can you still see everything... but in a yellowish color?

Try banging it on the top. It sometimes works for my old mac monitor which turns yellow, because its old and the ink is running out. Or try degausing it.

MAC!? Sorry! Hehehe!

Monitor turned yellow screen instead white but I can see words, pictures etc but not normal colors.

it looks like you might need a new monitor.. cuz i had the same plm a few yrs ago due to TOO MUCH usage of the monitor (left it on a lot) (GULP!)

Could be the video card going bad. I've seen bad cards do that.
Another thing is windows updates. Did you recently update your windows through the Windows Update feature? I've had windows updates totally trash my monitor drivers and had to reinstall the monitor.

1) Were you downloading/installing anything? Were you making any changes to the system settings?
2) Has any new hardware or software been added or installed recently?
3) Have you been getting any error messages? If so, then what do they say? It's a good rule to copy them or write them down.

Do you have another computer sitting around where you can switch monitors to see if the other monitor does it too. I'd hate to see you replace the video card and that not be the problem..sometimes it can be the drivers becoming corrupt. If you can switch to another monitor and see if does the same thing. Also, if possible, try your monitor on another computer...that will rule out if its the monitor itself.

Before proceding with replacing your video card or monitor, I suggest doing some research first and narrowing down what the problem could be.

Are you PC user? If yes, do you have adobe photoshop program in there? If yes, you will need join those member and get that information. It have happen to me one time, it was long time ago but not before 1800's. Anyway, the adobe photopshop do cause my monitor color bright pink but the text is white and the remaining is yellow. It is bother me a lot. In few hours, it was turned yellow and yes it is yellowish. You will need read that information how to add the script for windows and then restart the computer will made yellow/pink go away. Sometime it is cause from the software such as adobe photoshop does.

If no adobe photoshop, is there any device around the monitor less 1 inch that or have big sound speaker on the side? If yes, then might get new monitor.

Not want to spending money on the video card and then bring your monitor to your friend house or friend's computer and see if monitor shows the color. Like I said, try to see if you have adobe photoshop. Another than photoshop, research one of each software program that you are current using the program and see if their website have common troubleshoot.

Sometime the monitor get distored colors, if you have back up monitor try put the back up and connect with your video card to seee if working or still distored colors. or can ask your friend to bring a monitor over to your home to check.. if doesn't work it's got a video card going dies soon.. (which the high fresh rate cause a video card might fried electronic stuffs) I have 3 monitors at my home, 1 dead, 1 on Win95b tower and 1 back up (my brother want get rid of it and gave me to keep it).

Most important alway clean a back of monitor and avoid any stuffs can block a vented area causing overheat would gets yellowish screen..

Use vacuum to suck the dust up over the vented area..
