Mom Verbally Abuse For Breastfeeding In Target Store

nothing is wrong to feed the baby in public... naturally life like the animal feed their babies in public too. would u?

Old discussion, but I'll throw in my .02 cents....Kudos to the ladies who want and do breast feed....then again, I'm appalled that some women have no modesty about it whatsoever. One lady, who was at my son's tae-won-do class (my 3 boys went there)...she did breast feed her baby. But had a very thin cloth to cover her breast while feeding the baby...I've seen women who will just pop their breasts out, anywhere, anytime...kids (especially boys) gawking at it and snickering....Breast feeding at home and not covering it up, is fine...but in public?...just letting it all hang out without any modesty whatsoever?...I think not.

Do bottle feeders cover up their bottles? I was discrete when I breastfed, but I don't think society should tell women they have to hide their breasts when feeding their babies.

With my first 2 kids, yea I was like "oh no someone might see." This thought started to hinder me feeding. If I couldn't cover up I felt like I couldn't feed my baby, so I didn't. My babies would scream and scream. A lot of the time I had to go sit alone in a hot car just so others didn't see me. With my last kid, I though "oh F it, my baby is hungry, I don't want to cover her in this heat. Boobs are just body parts. All little boys will have to see them some day or another. No one around even cared! No one stares, no mothers move their children away, everyone acts normal. So I think it is bs for a mother to cover up and I think we should stop treated body parts like they are naughtier or gross. A boob is just fatty tissue and both genders have nipples. I think having a little boy understand that women's boobs are for feeding babies will make them treat women better and not sex objects. But I am also the person that has already taught my 3 and 2 year old the correct names for the genitalia instead of "wee" or "private parts".

I would never verbally abuse a mother breastfeeding her baby....times have changed a lot since I was a mother...but in all honesty, I would be embarrassed to show my breasts to strangers. hence, people are more open these days. I always carried a small hankie if necessary and even used a breast pump....Times have changed a lot.

I'm with you.

I was never so open before until I had kids. I learned that having to show my vagina to a room of strangers (ie: nurses) while giving birth and later showing my boobs to a million nurses, doctors, and lac specialist that it really didn't matter any more. I use to cover but then I noticed my babies getting too hot. My sister had a heat seizure that way when she was 3 days old. I don't know I am ot an open person, I don't like showing off my body, but I am not doing for anyone else. I am doing so that my baby can eat.

LOL yeah becoming a mom can be really embarrassing. The whole process from first check up until the 6 week postpartum can be hard. Breastfeeding was hard for me in the beginning as well... so many people can be quite rude... I could be in a room where a girl had her goods out and all but flashing and me (even covered) feeding my child was mocked... I quickly got over it... but yeah ... birthing process... forget about coming out with any concern for who has seen or touched what
