Mom kills baby for interrupting 'Farmville' game

That's why I avoid Farmville. It seem too addict to certain people and forget the reality.

It's only a problem if YOU have the tendency to ignore important things and just play around on Farmville.

I play the game daily, but, I work it around things that must get done.
 
That was sad. Maybe post partum depression had something to do with it.
 
The baby was only 3 months old. This is very disturbing.

That's a reach, I think. It's also an excuse.

If this person is mentally ill, then she needs an evaluation to prove that. Otherwise, the woman simply was too preoccupied to care for her own child. It's not only sad; it's criminal.

This was a helpless baby. I'm finding it hard to cut this woman slack. Perhaps once this starts winding through the legal system, the reasons for what happened will sift to the surface? I hope so, because, I want to know what in in the world was going through this woman's mind to justify neglecting her child like that.

I really agree with you. But killing a helpless baby is something that makes me so upset , that I am almost compelled to look for some reason that no one could really just do it on purpose.

And you could be right. Post partum depression can get pretty bad from what I understand.

It can be. I also just thought of something regarding how bad.

I'm not suggesting this is the case with this woman. I still think it's a simple case of this woman not giving a crap about her kid, but regarding postpartum depression, it can become so severe as to cause psychosis in some women. At that point, then yes, the woman was out of her mind and didn't know what she had done.

But, that doesn't sound like that is the case here. It just sounds like this woman sat on her butt for hrs on end while her baby was neglected to death. :(
 
most likely one of those things where the mother flips out for the moment. farmville is an escape for a lot of people. the mother could have had other problems that led up to shaking the baby. i have known a guy who went to prison for years after doing the same to his kid. his remorse is on going.
it is often a one time thing. you never know when you will just snap. hell, my mother snapped once, stuck a knife in my head when i was 5ish. she had 4 kids on her own pestering her and bang, in my head. not something to be forgiven but you got to understand not everyone is going to handle stress the same.

I had a bad case of postpartum depression after my daughter was born but not once I had any urges to shake her. It was something more deep within her that led her to do this.

I honestly think this woman just didn't care about her baby. That's what's so sad.
