Hi, 
My name is Ali and I've joined this group because my beautiful daughter, Emily, has been diagnosed with a hearing loss - specifically sensorineural hearing loss. I know it's not one of the most major ones out there, but it came as such a shock to our family, since no one else has a hearing loss.
Two weeks or so ago she received her hearing aids (pink no less!). It's been a huge help to her. Now if we can only get our insurance company to pay for them! (grr bluecross/blueshield doesn't cover them - says their 'convenience items')
I'm hoping to find some support - a sound board where I can vent my frustrations about this entire process and meet some great new people
