Today’s a happy day for me, our agency, and the modern deaf society.

This morning, Morton Warnow’s family and board members finally let go of the Modern Deaf Communication (MDC) organization and the assets and resources to be part of our umbrella.

We will be in the frontlines to developing better communication opportunities for deaf people as advocates of Modern Deaf Communication, inc. We have established a web presence www.moderndeafcommunication.org and will be updated once we get the opportunity to modernize the website a bit more like from ‘using TTY’s’ to ‘using Sidekicks’ and other technological updates.

MDC technology was once introduced to Gallaudet University in the late 70’s but was rejected because it reeked of ‘audism’ as you call it now.

NOW it will be welcomed because the Gallaudet leadership is modernizing. And MDC technology will be welcomed as well.
