Mine cleanup crew releases toxic waste water into a Colorado river

This wont have any effect on the enviroment. Man has nothing at all to do with it...

Its a double standard When BP spilled all that oil in the Gulf Obama closed down the gulf rigs that lead to higher oil prices. Now when The EPA spilled toxic waste water into a Colorado river Obama won't fire the EPA admin. So if Obama punishes BP when they spilled into the gulf why don't Obama punish the EPA admin? Its a double standard when BP accidentally spilled oil into the gulf than the EPA accidentally spilled toxic waste water into a Colorado river.

Oh well, you elected Obama so you got it that you deserves.

In the light of this unfortunately environment disaster, how could you trust government doing their job? This is clear evidence that government is NOT perfect and should never allow too much power for them.

I knew it for too long...

It is not the government. It is the mines that cause to have polluted into the rivers. The mines were using the water for minerals like gold, silver and other kind of minerals. The mines done a lot of damages spilling into the river to get rid of toxic and dirty. It also destroy fishes and living things in the rivers.

We, Native Americans, don't like the corporations (mines and Pipelines) to pollute our Mother Earth. It is bad for our health and we need clean and fresh drinking water including to have living animals like fishes.

^^^^ Hoichi This does affect on the environment, on lands, rivers and air which cause so much damage to pollution from corporations, not the government. Man does the damage to our Mother Earth. The problem with corporations is that we had tried to fight for our water rights, even rivers, lakes and streams, land rights and to have clean air with no smog or dangerous chemical in the air.

Just recently we talked about mines doing the damages to rivers mostly. You can see that video on the first post here and that is exactly what happened to make us sick and we can not go fishing or go white rafting or anything in the toxic river. It will be hard to get that clean up from the rivers. That is why we are crying over what happen to the waters. We were so devastated and want to tell the corporations (mines) to stop polluting our rivers.

Incorrect, EPA claimed that they are responsible for spilling when they are cleaning the abandoned mines.

EPA should declare them as superfund but local doesn't want.

I knew it for too long...

The chief of EPA needs to be fired, along with supervisors and managers who are responsible for spilling should be fired too.

Yeah, that's how I have been seeing for years.

At least at this time EPA can't get away with liability for the first time! I am tired of seeing Uncle Sam getting away too many times by bankrupt private owners. This time, thank God no private owner is getting stuck with this mess.

Yes, it is Government... they stole your land, don't forget that! They let it happen by allowing settlers stealing your land and use them to mine out gold and other whatever it is so that government can do almost NOTHING but collect money called TAXES. I have respect for Indian tribes more than my own government.
