Cool! :)

From what I understand, MATC has an excellent ITP training program.

Are you familiar with the Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing or Center for Deaf-Blind Persons and if so, have you done any interpreting at either place?

By the way, if you ever have any questions about sign, deafblindness, etc. please feel free to send me a message under my profile anytime. :)

i just went to CDHH today for one of my classes awsome place. i am not really don't alot of interpreting yet but i will soon. i love it at matc i was at uwm for awhile but changed wanted to get my degree alittle faster. are you out in the community at all?

Yes. I'm currently attending UWM for my Bachelor's degree in social work.

I attend CDHH for HLAA (Hearing Loss Association of America -- formerly SHHH) meetings every now and then. I've also worked with Tricia Chirillo (audiologist) several times at UWM and CDHH...she's a very nice person. :)

I also participate in UWM's "Sign and Dine" when it doesn't conflict with my class schedule.

However, I mostly participate in WISH (With Impaired Sight and Hearing) at the Center for Deaf-Blind Persons.

Welcome to AD and enjoy reading/posting the posts.

I used to live in Racine, which is south of Milwaukee years ago, now live in Oklahoma.

Best of luck to you as ITP student. Stick in there, socialize with deaf, deaf/blind daily if you can and you will do well. Deafies are the best teachers when learning asl from them as you mingle with deafies more. :)

Milwaukee is the worst place I ever lived.
Thank god I didn't stay inthere that long.
Welcome to alldeaf!

Hey! Don't knock it, authentic. Milwaukee isn't that bad. I know of worse places to live.

Besides, how would YOU like it if someone insulted your city in the "Introduce Yourself" thread? ("Milwaukee sucks. By the way, welcome to alldeaf!")

Some people obviously have no tact...

I have such a high empathy.
Every time I post is entitled on my own opinion.
Some people in these days obviously are crying easily over the comments in the virtual world.

You may be entitled to your own opinion, but that doesn't give you the right to insult someone because of where they live.

I'm not crying over anything. I'm showing tact -- something you're obviously lacking.

Given your sh***y attitude, it's a good thing you don't live in Milwaukee. We don't need people like you.
