I was in Brigade (I think) and Awana.Yeah, I was in the Brownies and Girl Scouts.
What about you, Vampy?
Boy Scouts... yes.I was in boy scout and high school sports such as track and ice hockey. the coaches were like nazi..... does that count for military-like group?
I was in Brigade (I think) and Awana.
I don't remember exactly what it was, but all I remember was that it was called Brigade. The uniforms were light blue and the stuff we did were almost like Boy Scouts.
Awana was easy to remember. I was part of Pioneers (older boys section).
Both groups were part of church.
Were any of you ever involved with any groups that are almost like military stuff?
For instance, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Awana, etc...
Don't forget about the R.O.T.C. .
Isn't that from Rochester Institute of Technology?
I don't know. I was very young and never paid much attention to the things that were offered in those groups. I was involved because my parents forced me to. With them being religious, they felt that it was my duty to be part of church-related military groups instead of regular military groups.I see, So by joining those Military-Like groups - Do you feel that it was your worthwhile?
As for me, I felt that it was worth my time because I was able to learn the basic survival skills. We also did participate in several projects by learning how to build small stuffs or whatanot. It was a good experience.

If I was aware of what was going on, I would have taken them seriously and earned a lot of badges than just playing around.
That's what I mean.AWANAS. If that what you are referring to....
Correct me if I'm wrong.
It is more like a church youth group. Never went camping or talked about the survival skills.
Badges was earned by learning verses and competitions.
Unless you are talking about a completely different thing it was more of the man above military.
So I'm not sure if it can be compaired to the military of earning badges of survival or true military of what is expected in survival.
