Never liked his book, as he does his best to not put much info anywhere so you buy the book, nothing about his books is scientific or much helpful, I bet he did $$$$$$$ from folk like us reading it, we should get percentage of the sales
Opinions vary. What I found interesting about his book-the history of cochlear implants, his writeup of an actual operation. His book is very different than another I thought worth reading Beverly Biderman's Wired for Sound a journey into hearing. Both discuss the increase use of Cochlear Implants.
I actually met Beverly Biderman at the Canadian Hearing Society/Toronto but she hadn't written the book yet, in one of my Hearing Help class there.
Both of the books are of course their experiences in getting a Cochlear Implant before and after.
