be what others want you to be and know how to do it right
It's your call.
There is a huge difference between being religious and being spiritual. Religion is a tool while spirituality is a blessing. Listen to your heart.
In the end, you'll never be happy nor satisfied until you're among your own. "To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man." (William Shakespeare) Everything good (and bad) will follow.
