NORTHAMPTON, Mass. (AP) — A Northampton woman made an unusual discovery in her yard — a deformed baby cardinal with two heads and three beaks.

April Britt says she found the bird near the base of a tree Monday and returned it to its nest.

The 67-year-old Britt tells the Daily Hampshire Gazette (Baby bird with two heads, three beaks found in Northampton | GazetteNET ) the bird apparently couldn't eat without assistance from the adult birds. The middle beak didn't work well and the other two didn't appear to be connected to the bird's throat.

A scientist for the Massachusetts Audubon Society says animals with such abnormalities rarely survive birth, making the find all the more unusual. He says the deformities could have been caused by genetic or environmental factors.

The baby and adults were gone by Tuesday.

I saw on the news last night that the blue fin tunas caught off the coast of Calif. have radioactive waste in them. This is so horrible , the whales and all the other sea animals will be effected by this too.
 
They is what happens when you have TV you see all the bad news. Humans have done more in the past 120 years to kill this planet than all the years before and some idiot I read about is trying to make a graviton (black hole) thinks it would be a great power source. This is something we just cannot toss off in the trash or put on a rocket and shoot it into space. Between the radiation and the idiots trying to make things we cannot escape from where will this planet be in another 120 years. I worry for the children.
 
Maybe bird flew to radioactive dump and made a deformed mutant babies??
