It was quite a "heated" argument.

A Massachusetts man was arrested after he allegedly attacked his girlfriend by dousing her $200 designer jeans with wasabi sauce and threw them in her face.

The defendant, John McGuinness, 22, and his girlfriend began arguing while driving home from a bar after watching the Boston Celtics play against the Miami Heat in the NBA's Eastern Conference finals Friday night, according to a police report.

The unnamed 21-year-old girlfriend told authorities McGuinness became enraged when she received a text message from another man.

"They argued pretty much continuously all the way home after she received this text message," Barnstable Police Sgt. Sean Sweeney told WBZ NewsRadio 1030.

The girlfriend dropped McGuinness off at his home for the night, but the fighting didn't end. After she left and was on the way home herself, she allegedly received a text message from the young man saying he was throwing her jeans outside. Not wanting this to happen, the victim returned to McGuinness' home where she found him standing in the driveway holding her jeans he had covered in wasabi.

She got out of her car and the defendant started attacking her with the pants.

"He had my jeans by the waist and whipped me in the face with them," she told police. "I got wasabi sauce in my eyes and they were burning and I couldn't see."

The victim tried to escape by getting back into her car to splash her eyes with a bottle of water, but McGuinness wasn't finished yet, according to a police report.

"He then poured more sauce in her car, and that's when a physical confrontation actually took place," said Sweeney.

McGuinness allegedly took her cell phone and later her car, parking it in the middle of the road where another driver crashed into it.

"(He) left the door open and another car coming by in the opposite direction hit the door and slammed it closed," Sweeney told a local radio station.

The girlfriend eventually called police. McGuinness was arraigned on assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (the wasabi sauce), assault and battery/domestic violence and intimidation of a witness.

He's due back in court for a pretrial hearing July 12.

All because their culture never taught them, even forbade them to share themselves with other people... This is sad...

Another example of guys acting childish - grow up and just move on, the lady was never a physical threat.

I read that article a while back and it is appalling to see how heartless people can be! People these days do not know what love and communication means! Not only that, but many people also lack self-control!
