Who's getting it this week? Which system?? I will be renting it off GameFly, and hopefully they will send it to me this week.

I would get this game for ugly360. Since I have no money and still jobless, I might not get it this week. :pissed:
 
I will get it on this week too, for xbox 360 version.
 
I just played the PS3 version at Best Buy.. they use big screen TV with nice soft chair for us to play Madden 08... boy I realized the PS3 version Madden 08 sucks... I meant the graphic is not great as it were as xbox 360 Madden 07. I will see if Madden 08 for 360 has good graphics? I read on the back of Madden 08 x360 case box it said "Ultra smooth gameplay" I wondered about that.
 
My rental copy of M08 got shipped today, I should pick it up on saturday when I get back home. I will post my opinions on the game on sunday or monday.
"Ultra Smooth Gameplay" is marketing hyperbole. Marketers need to sell the game every year, so they figure out crap like that to put on the back of the box.
 
I would might get one for my PSP cuz I very rare play any video games due to busy with work and other bs...
 
Hey Zing, you might find this interesting. A poster at another forum I visit said that the 360 Madden 08 is running at 60 FPS(Frames per second) while the PS3 version is running at 30 FPS.....

It's from lazy developers, not Sony problem.

I wish that EA need withdraw the exclusive team, such as terminate on contract then let Sony to developing new NFL game for PS3 that support true PS3, plus with cell processor.

EA sports is making PS3 looking bad. The Demo of NASCAR 08 via xbox 360 seems better than PS3 version which I had returned the game back. What's EA purpose doing this? EA supporting Xbox because of xbox live thing making money more that way? PS3 offer free online service. EA sports on PC required to pay online to play any EA titles. Sound like EA is on xbox's side.
 
I own Madden 08 (PS3), and love it very much.
When I log in the online gameplay, it lags a bit. I know it is not from my internet speed, and I'm not so sure where lag comes from.
I might return PS3 back to store, (15 days left from expiration receipt) and get ALIENWARE, and have MADDEN 08 installed.

Alienware? Do you mean for PC? PS3 madden 08 wouldnt run on PC but you can try to replace the version to PC if they allow it. Online PS3 has lag plms as I can notice it. Pacman did mentioned this in other thread that we need to disable DCHP server in router. Maybe try that before you return 'em?

No I plan to return all ps3 games, and the ps3 back to BestBuy, that's where I bought it from. I am thinking Alienware is better, because I can play madden 08 in airplane, or everywhere, while PS3 - must have TV to play with. Im not going to bring PS3 and TV in the airplane. Ha!

Ok I will look for the thread that Pacman left.

Yeah I just sold BHD since my computer crashed. I use my girlfriend's laptop which doesn't play PC games well on it. I am thinking of getting new PC later after getting a job then I will be able to buy PC awesome FPS games. Alienware gaming laptop looks good but cost alot man!!

How about ibuypower.com website? it's customize the PC for cheaper with alot of selection, plus no system manual when come out in shipping to you.

Fanatic, what kind of modem that you have? cable or DSL?

I means disable on DHCP on router are applied to numerous DSL modem if has DHCP feature built-in, or gateway (router feature built-in), plus few cable modem, that which is gateway.

If your modem don't have DHCP feature then don't bother to disable it, you need put PS3 in DMZ, set up on static IP, that's very effective for people that has problem with NAT.

if not solved then it must be EA server issue.
