Consider purchasing "How to talk to a person who can't hear" It stars Anthony Natale from "Mr. Hollands Opus", "Jerry Macguire" the infamouse scene in the elevator. It is a great dvd that I discovered just as I started ASL and it allows you to learn up to 300 words. It is a wonderful format and I would high recommend it. Anthony Natale is a great and wonderful person and a great spokes person for the deaf community.
