The Staten Island Club for the Deaf (SICD) is an organization, and gathering spot for NY Deaf community. In March of 2005, SICD opened its doors to something new; a interpreted live musical performance by a singer/songwriter. That night was very successful, bringing 80 hearing and 60 Deaf people together to enjoy one event. Friday, October 21st, will mark the second time a live musical performance has taken place in the club. Christian Davis will return, and with him for this performance will be two very special guests, Philadelphia's Melody Gardot, and Staten Island's Christina LaRocca.
The show will take place on Friday, October 21st, and doors will open at 8pm. Sign Language interpretation will be provided, for at least half of all performed material, by current ASL students.
The club is located at 92 Victory Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10301
There will be a $7 cover for this show, and you must be at least 18 to enter.
