Am I being lazy or mean for not wanting to focus on conversations when my family knows HoH and they don't bother to sign at all. I haven't asked them to but I would think they would consider learning something since they see me everyday.

Depends on if you want contact with them, or not.

It's really unlikely you will get the result you are hoping for.
 
It's almost like they treat it like I'm sick and it's something that will go away and I will be able to hear perfectly again. I was hearing until I was 22 then slowly loss hearing. I'm 25 and it has gotten worse since then. I was thinking about just sending the Asl dictionary app link to their phones and see who actually uses it.
 
is it possible for you just move out have contact with other deaf let them see you enjoying life using ASL in front of them,they get idea how you feel if you don't include them in conversation
 
I'm still looking for a deaf for a HoH friend in my area. I live in Indianapolis and I been to the deaf school for a game but not too many people that were my age were there oddly.
