Yes we do have salt in cottage cheese but not sodium. There´re many different cottage cheeses here in Germany... I choose salt over soduim. I am cottage cheese lover... I use to buy cottage cheese including soduim, now no more... but just salt.
I do eat some soduim but I have to limit it. (like bread, etc.)
Remember that sodium and salt are not the same thing.
