Just Want your opinion on that one...Addicted on Internet...

I just wanted to know what yalls opinion on this one... its a serious debate that i did in other sites like hearing chatrooms, etc... and did my resarch on it

Ok here it is.... if a person addict on internet and ingore thier kids just want be on the internet all the time eg:8 to 15 hours daily, notdo anything with kids or doing stuffs around the house, etc

IS it consider that person is a INTERNET addicter?.. I did research cases like that.. serval parents was caught and busted for child neglince, child abuse, or escaping with other people and left kids with others, thats sad..just wonder if yall had known a case like that? I did talk with state and local agencies here and they said had cases like that in past so wonder if yall familar with that and wonder if ya can claim if that person is internet addicter or not? im curious...

I aint sittin behind screen ALLL day or all NITE being on internet.. i limit my time like 4 hrs and have sk with me all day ...
 
I am not an expert on this. In my opinion I would say if a person can not be satisfied doing other things in life without being on the internet all day or night, would be an addict. When they are drawn to the internet and can't get away from the computer for many long hours and it disrupts their daily lives is an addict.

I have a full time job and I have to tend to daily things at home. Sometimes I like to go out. Sometimes I like to just stay home watch tv. Sometimes I like to get on the internet.

So, that's my opinion.
 
I would think it meant that person's an Internet addict. It doesn't bode well for his kids, if he ignores them.
 
I think that addict and i feel sorry for the kids not receiving any love from the parent.

I have a 9 yrs old son and I love him dearly. I will spend my time with him as much in case if anything happened to one of us. It is too important for me to spend time with my son then this darn computer.

Yea I am online now that because my son is not here and he is at his Dad's house. Yea I am single mom. As you see my mom was single mom and hardly spend time with her kids cuz all she does was do her painting and reading books. I only hear her say i love you on a card or letter or over the phone. But I know she loves me. Anyway when I was young I decided I aint gotta be like my mom. I just tell my son that I love him every day no matter what. And that is so important to me.
 
Anyone who has kids and acting as described above should be shot at dawn! :mrgreen:
 
Put Kids first

For past 4 years i always put my sons first than anything... since they have autisc and adhd. always worry about them daily etc becasye they are so preicous children. and always check on them daily whenever im gone out of town or being on internet or VP always check on them if they are allrite or not bec they means alot to me.. since im divciored now but i still think of my boys FIRST than internet, seeking for a lady, or spending time with ladies and ingore my sons for weeks weeks like others did etc i cant live without them becasue they are my mircale babies they are still my babies no matter how old they are :LOL
 
I work and go to school. I also have 2 wonderful children to take care of. I make sure they have their time with me, baths, and meals before I get online. Because of work and school I spend about 12 hours a day on the computer. In my free time especially after the kids are in bed I spend about 4 to 5 more hours online.
