Hello all. I have been reading some of your posts for a couple of weeks now and thought I should introduce myself.
I am a mom with a profound progressive auditory nerve damage. Recently my 13 year old son was diagnosed with same. He is now at the 'mild' stage. Ouch.
I have been searching for posts on ideas of where to lead him in his education (he will follow main stream as he is not 'deaf' enough for this type of education.) He is a very strong student and has expressed interest in the engineering field, architect sp?
I know with my own life, working in the corporate world (accounting) was stressfull, phone wise. I now have a small at home biz as a dog groomer - the dogs don't care if I can hear them or not - as long as they can still kiss or bite me as they wish LOL.
So I guess this leads me to any of your thoughts as to what your career life has been like, and what you would of done differently. Also your thoughts on children (and I don't mean to be insensitive here at all.)
