Hi is there any memphis or tn people on here? I would luv to chat wit u I am a hearing person but I really want to learn ASL as my little cousin is deaf if u are in the Memphis area and have patience pls drop me a reply thk u soooooo much xo xo

(btw, PowerOn, to check out what a 'chick' looks like...head out in the good ol' countryside where you'll see plenty of farms...see anything 'yellowish'...wellll...there you go! :lol: (j/k ofc-- ;) )

I don't live in Tennessee (Knoxville area) anymore. I occasionally am in Memphis for business and sometimes for enjoyment.

You may want to meet other deaf (and hearing) people from the Tri-States (TN/MS/AR) area at several deaf events like at the mall (usually at Wolfchase Galleria and Oak Court) and at Starbucks. You can contact the host (Wally Hodge(s)) to have your E-mail address added on to receive information. For more info/contact info, go to the Memphis Deaf Community website.

For sign language classes, I would advise you to call Interpreting Service for the Deaf at 278-9307 (it is in area code 901) - they should be able to help you.

I wish I could be more of help, but I am not active in the deaf community.
