WHY are relationships so difficult? Sometimes I don't even think they are worth half the trouble that they create!
I really don't know many lesbians in my area, and honestly haven't made the most honest attempts to meet many either, but I have gone out a few times. Out of the three dates that I had, only ONE showed up!
She and I went out 2 or 3 times before losing touch (she was nothing special - lol). The second girl I went to meet never showed up! Her excuse? "Something came up". She didn't offer any other explanation though and then IM'ed me later to tell me how much she missed talking to me!! We had only chatted like 5 times. Oi vey.
The most recent gal was supposed to meet me at a coffee shop 2 weeks ago. She called an hour before and canceled because "something came up". She actually called and rescheduled for this past Sunday though. Apparently, we both showed up, both MISSED each other and both went home thinking we were stood up.
So where have I been finding these people, you're probably wondering? That's craigslist for ya.
Why is it so hard to find someone who just "gets me". They don't have to be anything else or do anything else. They just have to be on the same wavelength as I am. Someone with more than two brain cells who likes coffee and conversation and simple things.

I am sorry you have had such bad experiences. It's not all lost though - these are three people you can cross off the list of "that special someone." So you're closer to finding someone who you deserve and who deserves you!
