Yes, that was a very dramatic day. I remember it well. It was also my birthday but I remember the shooting most.I remember exactly where I was March 30, 1981. I'm a little surprised, I thought he was older then 73. RIP
It's amazing that he recovered as much as he did. I remember when the news announcers first said that he had died. Awful!Rip he was tough.
Death of James Brady, Reagan press secretary, ruled a homicide | Fox News
I think since the coroner ruled a homicide that Hinkley should be arrested again and go through the court system. This would be a different charge on him.
Yeah, but wasn't Hinkley sent to a mental institution?
Yes he was. He's still there today.
If that's so, I wonder how they can bring murder charges against him now if he's mentally incompetent still after all these years?
Yeah, but wasn't Hinkley sent to a mental institution?
It's very well documented on film...don't know how they prove it after all these years main witness been old ronni who dead
I note the guns the Secret Service agents used back then. They don't use those anymore, but they do have bulletproof windows for the President. I'm not sure if a civilian could get that on a regular car, though. I imagine those windows are quite expensive to maintain.
This happen March 30, 1981 , so guns would look difference today. I guess if someone was rich enough they have bulletproof windows on their car.
I remember the President telling his wife that he forgot to duck when he got shot.
