I know a lady who used to work at Jack in the Box in Calif when she was in high school, they hired her knowing she is deaf and not oralist..she did real good, the other employees learned basic sign language so they can communicate with her which i think is commendable of them to even try to communicate with her..she had a blast working there.
So i guess not all places are not like that.
