While a number of friends wouldn't hesitate or disagree about my normal form of regressing (that is supposed to be sort of a joke), I'm doing something subconsciously to prove it. I have no hesitation telling people about my hearing or lack thereof. What's weird is while I'm sort of cornered into wearing the CI processor on the clip rather than as a BTE, I'm hiding it. My hearing is the same and it's not like I have a lot of layers of clothes over it. The new AB has the microphone that's supposed to make sound more clear. It looks like a BTE and I'm rather embarrassed about it.
I feel a bit like I'm in 5th grade through my 20s again. I'll grow past it in time but it's surprising for a person who has been out (in more ways than one) for @30 years has gone back into the HA (CI processor) closet. "Grow up, Sheri!" demanded Sheri.
Anyone have a similar experience and have you reasoned out what happened? Notice, I did not use the word "rationalized" for reasoned.
