Its Almost impossible to eat healthy stuff nowadays

Look at stuff we have now than we didn't have in 1800s
There were no soda
no hot dogs
no sausages
no burgers
no potato chips
no french fries
no fried chicken
no deli meats or processed meats

But just plan normal good food. That answers this question why so many people are fat,more people have cancer or get heart attacks than back in 1800s
 
Gardening and growing your own makes it really easy :) and the taste! You cannot compare it to anything :D
 
Its also a lot of patience and hard work. Farming is long hours and hard work

True...but it is relaxing and enjoyable....for some.... He he and I am told I have no patience guess in some areas I do. :) it is a work that always progresses and a bit of a challenge some years....but still enjoyable....
 
I think it's easier to eat healthier today , there are so many kind of fresh products to buy , you only need to add some proteins like fish or meat and brown rice and you got a healthy meal Just stay away from the remade food which had added salt , sugar or fake sweeteners and food coloring .

You might want to check your list. Some of those foods have been around longer than you think.

Not all food in the 19th century was healthy. It was also limited by season and location.
 
Yea but i never ever heard sodas were back in the wild west. Cowboys ate chicken,,steak, chili,stew and soup. They drank whiskey and tequila.
 
It's possible to eat healthy if you follow your diets. Some people have strict diet to eat fruits and vegetables. People have their own preference what to eat, sure there is a lot of junk foods out there but if you control what you eat there is no harm for that.
 
Moderation is the key to having your cake and eating it to :)
 
Planning ahead is important. Always having healthy options available so you don't have to resort to getting fast food or unhealthy options.

Cola does exist in 1800s and they introduced in 1886.

Wild West lasted until 1912.
