Coolgirl, been there and done that. Let me guess......you're doing the boring bits of speech right now right? I was in the same sitution in high school. My parents had it stuck in their heads that I could IMPROVE my speech. The trouble is, that stuff like enunciation, modulation, pitch, volumne etc is really boring and really hard. I HATED it, and wanted to drop it. I think there's only so much you can do to improve the mechanics of a "deaf" voice/accent.
