I should have said the best advice I can give you. I did not mean that what I said is the "best" advice there is. 
Also, be honest with your Mom and ask her to be honest with you too, if your heart is not in it, then how productive will these speech therapy sessions really be?
Good luck but remember that your Mom is coming from a good place and has good intentions so be kind!
