What's causing all these tech glitches this morning?

NY Stock Exchange: shut down.

United Airlines: temporarily grounded.

Various newspapers: off-line.
 
This morning, I got this email from my CT hometown paper:

Maybe it was space trash falling from the sky that was inferring with things ???
 
Seems like just coincidence. I haven't seen anything about solar flares and if that was a big problem it'd be less random and either more local to one area or more widespread if it was really strong.

Tuesday nights are typical patch days though, so Wednesday morning problems are possibly explained by that.
 
I did read late last year they thought be solar flares this year puts me off flying...my techy came yesterday said people having these sort of difficulties all over the place
