Could you elaborate more on "counseling"?

You referring to marriage, divorce, finance, school, college, alcohol, etc... which one in specific.

Also, why ask if it's a right or a privilege?

Was it stopped because it wasn't being paid for? Or did the counselor determine it wasn't necessary? Or was the client not cooperating? Or did the program end? :dunno:

Too many variables for a simple poll.

What if you dont quilfy for it? Sometimes therapists will not take you if your problems just arent enough.

Yeah,,But if its not serious enough they wont talk to you. Like mild depresson for example.

I remember many years ago, that I was depressed and tried to get some help. My deaf friend suggested the Mental Health Clinic where there was a lady (who was hearing) but knew ASL, not fluent, but enough to get by.....

To make this short, she asked me about any problems I had, etc., etc. I told her that I felt depressed a lot. And she told me that the reason for my depression was my deafness......Say What????

Nah...I never went back there. Finally, I found someone that charged $90/hour and he took the time to write things down when I didn't understand.....He also worked with me (and I had insurance)....and he was a very good psycharist. So it's best to shop around. Just because something is "free" doesn't mean it's the best place to go.
