I was looking around to find the answer if there are possible to buy IP Address to allow that use high speed if the DSL companies refused provide the additional IP Address.

Again, it only need additional port forwarding those to specific machine, do you guy have answer for that moment?

yes, If you have static ip, you can set up "Static IP" in OJO. but I forgot to set up it becuase i never use it in several month ago. I can't wait to get new 10-digital number after dec 31 or early.

I have not heard of any providers that will not allow additional public facing IP addresses. You will have to pay additional charges in most cases. Maybe 4 or 5 dollars a month depending on your provider.

Right, my DSL fee is 200 dollars to get 5 static IP Address, I only ask for one

Most residential DSL or Cable internet service only offer one dynamic IP address. Many of them do offer customer to purchase additional dynamic IP for small fee.

My cable provider I use for my VP at work is business account which comes with one static IP for about $80/mo.

You do not need to have static IP for VP as free services such as DynDNS can automatic update IP using your own personal subdomain.

Depending on router you have, you can have more than one VP with one IP address.. However, only one VP can receive call as it monitor port 1720 which must be forwarded by router to specify IP (one of VP).

If you want to be able to receive calls on both VPs, you will need 2 IP addresses.

My DLink DGL-4500 does great job on making calls from Vp200 and Ojo phones. I set my Vp200 for incoming calls.

Small fee? I'm packing now and moving to your neck of the woods!

IP addresses: my internet provider would give me 5 (1 with account or 5 with a "commercial" account) for a two-year contract of $150 a month.

Additional IP addresses through your internet provider is, obviously, expensive.

Not with Cox Communication, I think for additional dynamic IP address cost $7/mo (last time I checked). I pay $37/mo for 5mbps down/2mbps up service for my home.

I have account for NoIp but problem is that my friend set it up for me last year for CDVRS and I never use it.... I received Email notifying me that I have not updated my account or either using it. I let it languished and disappeared..

Right now, I finally have Ojo! So It's time for me to start using it cuz I put Ojo on my garage workbench cuz I have no place to put in my house except garage. I would use when I'm in garage. (My basment isn't finished yet and still working to finish it.)

Also the HOVRS told me to have NoIp account in order to contact me on VP and also for MVP if I get it (only if I get all the contacts confirmed and move me to "front door"). So I'm getting back on track. I forgot how but I did download software and not sure what I should do. I haven't installed it yet tho.

I'm good with computer hardware and good with software but dumb on building Internet Homepage, Setting up Static Ip ect... I wish I could have more education on how to setup Homepage. My RR ISP offer free Homepage that I never used.

I probably will google around to find info. Unless you give me a suggestion how to do it. My NoIp account already signed up last year and I still can access to it.

I would love to have free static IP in a way I can use Webcam, Ojo, MVP ect.. (I'm not trying to have a "home tour" video tho). Just the convenience of having wireless vp and be able to go outside and chat. Not like "Survivorman" video .

 $200!? Who is your ISP? I know Qwest offers 5 IP addresses for $14.95 a month and Comcast offers additional IP addresses for $5.95 a month each.

If you have a router that will allow you to run DD-WRT like the Linksys WRT54G, it has an option to set up your no-ip or one of the following free dynamic domain name system so you can just let your router ping or update the server rather than installing a client software on your PC... and no need to leave your PC on almost all the time. Works great and less hassle.

My router is DLINK WBR 2310. You can setup your DDNS service and the WBR-2310 will automatically update your DDNS server every time it receives a new WAN IP address.

My Friend live in Ohio, he have ISP "WOW" (WideOpenWest), they are incdule up to 3 WAN IP Address, no fee
