Iowa Supreme Court: Married Lesbian Parents Should Both Be Listed On Birth Certificat

I saw that on the news tonight. Interesting it will only apply to lesbian couples where one of the partners actually gives birth.

The couple featured are going to be receiving an amended birth certificate.
 
At least they're trying to get it resolved but in higher court with a state that allows glbt marriage? How odd.
 
I guess this would made one wife responsible to pay child support if they get a divorce .

Yes because state legislators in Iowa refused to address the issue (remove the gender reference) so only left with highest court to make fixes.
