Intresting post - using or speaking asl?

Oh lordie...

I've heard/seen the phrase of "use Spanish/English/etc" so no I don't think ASL is "inferior" in that sense. That's my view.

Then again ASL is a language, and like all languages- it evolves. Maybe in time that will change but some people will likely not change their signing habits overnight either. I've seen signs come and go... and many regional signs as well.

I see his point too. Sometimes I tell people I speak ASL.

I see his point too and mainly agree also... Though I also say use often for spoken languages but not for my first language.

When talking about speaking English or French, more often I refer to it as using them
