Wait. He wanted a terp for the entire time that he's there? Not just for when there's a concert or a speaking event or something like that? If the terp is to be there for a long time, then a second interpreter would have been necessary as well.
I took a look at the resort's website. They seem rather popular and have a lot of events July through September. So, I would think they have profits they can dip into to cover the cost of an interpreter without charging extra on admission fees for everybody else.
