Hi! I'm Mai, and I'm a 17 year old girl from Denmark (Scandinavia, Europe). I'm sorry for my horrible english, but I'm trying my hardest.
I'm not deaf, and I do not know any deaf persons because in my country (which is pretty small - 5,5 million people), there is only 12-14 deaf people, and therefore no deaf school - so yep, pretty hard.
I remember telling my mom about my dream becoming an interpreter for deaf people, but every where I came, people told me "to have a plan b, 'cause they're useless in Denmark" and it made me so mad, so I showed them up, and guess what? In these months I'm waiting to get an answer if I'm going to start on the education as an interpreter - and I'm so excited!
Anyways, now to why I'm here. I would love to have couple of deaf friends, and learn about the deaf culture, because I'm so interested in it! Also, I'm going to the U.S in 2018 hopefully as an au pair girl.
SOOO, text me if you want to get me to know better? Haha, its pretty late here, so I'll probably leave for bed soon.
