Check out today's newsday.com The article is about several things, the charitable efforts by Dr. Roland, an implant surgeon at NYU, and the state of art technology that allowed the NYU implant team in NYC to program and activate a person's implant in Africa!

NYU is where my daughter received her cis and Bill Shapiro, quoted in the article, has been her audiologist since she was implanted in 1989.

Great article about wonderful people doing wonderful things for others.
