Practice signing with Deaf people of a variety of ages, from different geographical regions, male and female, and a mix of socio-economic and ethnic groups.
Watch ASL-signed videos (make sure they are ASL). If they are captioned or have voice-over, turn off the captions and volume when you first watch them, then turn them on after to see how your accuracy was.
