MomToDeafChild,My daughter is in that age group that you are referring to. She is 21 and was implanted at age 2 back in 1989. I can tell you that neither she nor anyone else that we know of, and that is many kids that age as they are her contemporaries in what was then a small world, have stopped using their cis. They have grown up with their cis and are now entering the adult world with them just as your daughter will.Take care,Rick
