I told my mom that I don't
want Britney to be spayed....

I think it is cruel to take out her sex organ
so she won't have puppies in the future.

My sister said she will have menstual cycle and
can messed up the carpet...

I don't believe her... :squint:

She isn't gonna be in heat or runaway to find a male to mate.

Is there another way, maybe a birth control pills for dogs?

I don't know. I am not a vet.. lol .. good questions for your next check up with vet. :)

My puppy is female and I am getting her spayed in December when she turns 6 months old. I don't like her bloody period all over my floors, couch, bed, and many. YUCK!! And she will get spayed and it will calm my puppy down instead of being hyper.

If I dont get her spayed, she ended up having puppies, I cannot afford to get all puppies to get shots, 45 dollars for each first shots & visits. :-o Expensive...

I don't think there is birth control pills for dogs. You might want to find out from the vet doctor.

when the puppies or dogs getting spayed or nuertered.. will noticed big change...
listen to master more, potty trained better, training better, no more roaming, no more run aways.. little bit more protect master or family..

right now my puppy Rocky isnt fixed yet, he is scheduled to have fixed next month.. hes been hard time lately.. hes run around or into neighbors... he did well on potty trained but he has his "terriorty pee" on few spots.. ugh..

also, live longer if fixed.. tho

Yep, DoofusMama is right. Getting spayed or neutered will make the dog live longer and calm down, listen more, and well behaviors.

same with our kitten we are getting them spayed/netured pretty soon. they are sooo evil right now they get into things and knock over the fake tree. steal pen and stuff it in the rug. after they get fixed, no more attacking my feet while asleep

I agree with most everybody here. Unless you intend to breed the animal, it is actually better for them to have them spayed/neutered before the age of two years old. Animals who are sterile live longer and make better pets.

I agreed with others. I will have my puppy spayed after she have her 1st liter. If 1st liter go well and fast selling, we might have 2nd. If not then go ahead to spay her. She can be so pain in butt BUT I love her anyway! My aunt had her poodle for 15 years and was fixed. So he sure lived pretty long time. Now she have 2 poodles and one big cat, (breed is Ragdoll and he weighed at 19 lbs). All are spayed/fixed. She told me same thing as other said on the posts. So you SHOULD not be mad at your mom. I do agreed with your mom.

Yes, very true!

I has to agree with your mom, Miss *P

Hey Miss P.. Do you like your dog Britney get horny? :o Believe me or not.. She will hump your leg if your dog doesn't get spayed..

U might change ur mind after u see red spots all over--carpet, sofa, bed, clothes, etc...even on ur lap.

DUHHHH!!! Then your mother is RIGHT, she is going to get your dog to get spayed...

i never had a female dog.. all of my life i had male dogs.. so i dunno what its like to have one not being spayed and having blood all over the floor and furnitures.. ugh.. prolly not a pretty sight, i'm sure. but i got to agree with yall that having a neutered dog will obey you and live longer by stay home more and be your companion more than being hyper and wild .. running around with the packs and get in fights so on. I had two dogs that were not neutered. they kept getting in trouble and got shot at etc. So it's best to get your dog spayed and neutered than being heartbroken .. It is just smart thing to do.

Right now I have one dog and his name is Mac. He is 12 yrs old. He have been neutered since he was 4 months old. He doesn't run off and isn't wild. Always stay home with me and is my sweet companion. Following me everywhere etc. I have no problems with him. He never had sex but he does get horny sometimes by scratching my legs or my arm and try to get on the business, lmao!!!! I would say no stop that and he will stop and go back and lay down.. haha..

I had two Boston Terriers, both females....and they were both spayed (did you know that Boston Terrier mommas have to have a cecerean section the majority of the time? That's because the little BT babies' heads were too big for the birth canal. I am sure Patty knows about this. :) )
Anyway, my 2nd Boston Terrier, Pepper, when she was young, had menstrual blood on the sofa, etc. so we had a sheet under her while she sleeps.....then we went to have her fixed. No more blood....and also female dogs who are fixed usually don't have cancers as much as the ones who were not spayed.
I agree with everyone here, Miss P.

I think that pets should be neutered or spayed. We've got millions of unwanted puppies and kittens in the world because people don't spay or neuter their pets. Sure, we can put them on birth control... but what good would that do? Suppose you've got a dog that isn't neutered and is on birth control. Suddenly, it escapes and is gone long enough to miss its next birth control intake. Uh oh... another dog out there just got impregnated. We all go through surgery of some kind. That's why it's best to get them neutered or spayed at a young age.

My parents refused to neuter their 2 dogs because they wanted to save money. Because of that, they were always humping each other and pissing all over the place. On a long run, they ended up paying more for the damages than they could have if they just neutered them in the first place.

I had a friend who had a cat who was never spayed. My ex-girlfriend and I moved in with her. We thought it was nothing, until a few weeks later... it was in heat. It practically pissed EVERYWHERE! It once pissed on my ex-girlfriend while she was petting it. Argh! She finally got it spayed. Afterwards, everything went back to normal. :)

Ms. P, I agree with everyone and my cats cannot have babies and it is safer than having your dog bleed all over the place
