I love my latest analog.

Compared to my previous digital that crapped out, it's amazing and I do well. However, it's still not the best I've ever heard and it still produces feedback whenever I eat, smile, laugh, etc. Plus, because it's a super power, it's still a bit boomy for my tastes.

The best I ever heard and had no feedback or boominess with the ultimate clarity was with a digital GN Resound Canta 7 780D that I had to borrow from my audie one time due to my Canta 7 770D crapping out on me.

So, I'm embarking down the digital path again and may (with a 98% certainty right now...working out final financial details) end up getting a new digital aid this Friday. I'm planning on working with my audie to get the best possible usable gain and settings worked out to maximize my hearing in all situations.

Wish me luck!!! :) :cool2: :cool2: :D :D

Good luck bro! Be sure to get your hearing tested again, ask to have 11 frequencies tested from 125Hz to 8000Hz so your HA can be programmed properly! Also ask to be tested in a soundfield for your aided hearing to confirm that your HA is correctly programmed.

Take your time, don't rush. Try different brands if you can. Wear them for a couple of weeks to see how you like them. Remember 4 or 5 visits for adjustments is not unusual for digital aids. That's the beauty of them, they can be adjusted many different ways. If you liked resound try the resound azure power aids. And be patient!! And good luck.

Hask- Thank you for the sound advice (no pun intended - hehehe). Having been down this road before I echo every one of your sentiments.

deafdude1 - Definitely!!! I'm going all out on testing and programming this time to see if I can get some of your similar outstanding results with aided hearing. :)

erm, wouldnt hurt to try a new analog too, especially the unitron I hear they are quite good, just so you'd know what is really out there as the best for you. I know digital aids are awesome once tuned right, and yes they are finicky at first... best of luck
