Am having difficulty getting used to my new Oticon Spirit Zest C SP aids. Seven weeks ago, I caught a cold and ever since then my hearing has deteriorated. Every sound felt echoey and muffled so after going backwards and forwards to the Audiologists, my GP and ENT, I have been given two different aids to try - the above mentioned aid or the Phonac Nathos. The latter I hated, but am trying to stick with the Oticon. BUT, I am having difficulty hearing the tv and music which is really frustrating. Does the brain have to get used to the new aid before my hearing goes back to 'normal'? (like it was before I had the cold when I could hear things much more clearly than I do now).
