If you were to travel across the USA, where would you stop? I want to travel across the country so bad. It is a dream of mine. I am trying to get different ideas of where to stop because next year MAY be the year. Here are a few on my list.

Cities/Natural Attractions

Grand Canyon
Yellowstone/Old Faithful
Hoover Dam
Las Vegas
Mount Rushmore
St Louis Gateway Arch

Thrill Parks

Cedar Point
Six Flags Magic Mountain
Six Flags Elitch Gardens (Need something between Ohio and Cali)
Six Flags Over Texas (Can't you tell by now that I have season pass )
Knotts Berry Farm

 A season pass that you can use for all the 6 Flags theme park chain? I didn't know about that....! When did that go into effect? I sure would LOVE to have one!
I had a Season Pass for Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara which was good for up to a year, I think. :P

I just found out that Paramount is 'owner' of King Dominion...where is that and what sort of park is it? I remember you mentioning that one......

Doswell, Virginia north of Richmond -- its an amusement park similar to 6 flags but different ownership

If I had a chance to travel across the USA... I'll stop every miles in the USA and stop by all AD's place to chat and post the pictures and post it here...

What, no interesting places in this country? There has to be more places to visit.

*HUGZ* :ily: Thanx for the info. Definitly some ideas. I just wish I could rent a friends RV to do this. It would be soooo much cheaper and don't have to worry about being on time for reservations.

I like KOA. I will get KOA card before I go on a trip like this. Maybe, we stay in the Kamping Kabins that they have. All depends on prices of hotels in the area.

If I had a chance to travel across USA several times. I would go to all 4 corners.

I would start from Flordia and go across on highway 10 to San Diego, CA. Go up north to Redmond to take a piss on Microsoft's sign on the ground. Go along the Canada border to Maine. I have been to Portsmouth so I would love to go back there. Go back down to Flordia along the Atlantic ocean. Drive from Flordia all the way up to Michigan then come from Michigan to Arizona. Arizona up to southern of Idaho then back home to Arkansas. :D

Grand Canyon, Phoenix (again), South Beach (again), fort lauderdale (again), NYC, Washington,D.C., let me see maybe Rochester :) ummmm definitely New Orleans!!!!!

Tomorrow, my mother will be flying to USA, pick up her harley davidson bike (she shipped it to USA few weeks ago) the travel to Sturgis for harley davidson rally for few days then travel around USA, will covering 9,000 miles in 5 weeks. she done it 2 years ago and loved it

These places are beautiful and fun! I've been all these places before. :thumb:

If I were to travel all over USA, I would stop ANYWHERE that's attractive to me and my husband. :thumb: Actually, I want to touch all 50 states before my life expires. Heh.
