Hello,

I recently receive an iCom through my audiologist and it really got me going to use it. I am even using it right now and became so curious more to use it from school and at home experience. Currently, I am using it to listen music at the moment. I haven't tested out the phone since it's been a day with it. However, I'd be using it when I get back to school. To those who do use it and taken it to school, have you used your FM system on it?

Tell me? Is it less stressful? When you use it and everything? Is there any advice I should know beforehand? Any warning about it? I just thought about it recently and my audiologist set the whole thing and says it will work with any bluetooth, which is great.

But, since I do not own a bluetooth phone. I want to know if I can find a bluetooth phone that has minutes to add in. Any advice or good website that may help me out?

I like my iCom for the phone and I use it at church where I plug it into an FM receiver (I don't have the little receiver that can plug into it - too much $$ for my needs). If you don't have an bluetooth phone, you should be able to get a wire to plug into the phone and the iCom. I did that with previous phone and t-coil neckloop.

Be aware that the battery life on the iCom is not that great if you use it a lot. Be ready to recharge it as needed.

Hm, that would be good to know about the phone. Thanks for mentioning it. I believe he gave me that already, so I'm set.

Ooh, yes, I will be sure to charge the battery every day then. Thanks for the heads up warning.

Regarding the charging with the ICom, I need to charge it every 5-6 hours if I use it all day. Between my cell phone, office landline, TV and computer, it is an energy hog. I charge it at my desk, in front of the TV and out of my car as needed. It only takes 30-40 minutes to charge it fairly well so I just leave it connected when I don't need to move around alot.

Works well and I do wish it had better battery life is my only concern.
