I have a son that was born really premature and due to some meds, he was hard of hearing until he lost his hearing due to chemotherapy (liver cancer), he is now ok. He had a cochlear implant put in back in feb 08, he just started a school with a special ed program, for the deaf/hard of hearing. It is really difficult for us to communicate with him, I really want to learn sign language, but there is a problem, where we live I don't think there's a lot of options. We can't afford to pay for private lessons or anythin like that, he is learning at school, but what sould I do???? I trully want and need to learn. I use the computer to at least learn basic words, but that is not enough, I need to learn as much as possible, because, I think he prefers signing rather than using his voice. I don't have any problems with that, except that, I can't seem to fine a way of learning it. Does anyone have any idea what can I do??? I live in Ocala Florida, and I would love to be able to learn!!!
