I need to interview a deaf adult who has gone through speech therapy

Hello,

I am currently going to school to be a TOD (teacher of the deaf). For a class assignment I need to interview a deaf adult who has gone through speech therapy as a child (gone to speech in school or outside). I just would need someone to answer 20 questions. If someone could please help me out, I'd GREATLY appreciate it!

You mean there are no deaf people where you live ? You could see if you could a notice up on an audi office to interview someone .
 
If you are studying to be a teacher of the deaf, why haven't you join and checked out this forum and be part of it before you are required to interview a deaf adult? From what I see, you have no interest in being part of deaf world since this is your first and only post and that one is required for school assignment.
 
I'm sorry. I wasn't trying to come off like I don't care. I obvious do care, because this is something I really want to do. I understand your perspective on it. This is my first semester in the program and I do know individuals who are deaf, but they did not receive speech therapy. I know this is my first post and I know I am asking for help. If you do not want to help, then I understand, you don't need to respond. Thanks sooo much!!!
 
If your teacher gave you this assignment why don't they point you in the direction of some people local where you are who can answer?
 
Just to clarify, I mostly blame professors for this. They shouldn't be giving assignments like this without providing what you and others need. I suggest you tell your professor about this. As a matter of fact, why don't you print this out and give it to your professor so they would see what is it like for us. Maybe this would make them think twice about us and provide what is needed when giving out assignments like this. Professors need to quit being so lazy regarding assignments like this!

It does make one wonder how on earth anyone accomplished their assignments before the advent of the internet. :lol:
