I need some help or advise, PLEASE!

I have been dating a wonderful man who is 46 years old and who is deaf. I talk a lot, and have been told that my boyfriend is talking more. He has three daughters who have grown up with him and his exwife who is also deaf. The girls father Ray, hasi increased his speech because of my talking, and I am working on sign language. Is it wrong for Ray to talk, because today his daughter told him to shut up and not talk. She does not want him to talk. She only wants him to sign. Please help me, because I am confused.

No, it is not wrong for him to talk. It sounds like he has a very rude daughter who needs to be grounded for a month. :eek3:

When I was a kid, my stepmother used to scream at me to shut up and that she hated my voice, and she's not even deaf. :( I hate her.
 
If the daughters are deaf and rely on sign language and he is just using his voice to talk with them, then yea, I can understand where the daughter is coming from.

If the daughter is hearing and she tells him to shut up, ask her why? Maybe he is talking too loud and the pitch is at an annoying level but instead of telling him to shut up, she should take that opportunity to explain to her father about keeping his voice at a normal pitch and help him work on it if the father is motivated to to use his voice?

No its not wrong for him to talk. I wouldn't think.
I'm hearing also & been learning ASL so I know what it's like.
Communication with the deaf is fun &

Wow, if that was my daughter I'd beat her ass (ok I mean spanking . . . but beating her ass sounds better lol) and send her to her room. That’s what my dad would do if we talked to him like that. And her age wouldn’t make a difference, I’d still do the same thing to her if she was 20 something.
 
Wooo Hooo. you got some situation here. Just get your man out and leave the daughters alone
