I heard rumor.. but not sure if its true or not..

Few days ago someone told me that there's a rumor that my ex boyfriend Joe got his mentally retarded girlfriend who lives in group home preggy. That woman have AIDS. I texted Joe, but haven't heard from him... I think he's denying... I just text him to ask if its true or not... I know that AIDS takes a year to take effect on a person... Also if the baby is born, he or she will have it too.... That's sad....

Never listen to a rumor. Get the story right first. Can you contact him by visiting him? That if you are still friend. AIDS is horrible and sad too.
 
And.. you dont need to know his personal.. since hes your ex.. that's his problem..

if you arent sure about rumors.. go dr and take aids test for your safety..

whats more we dont need to know about this though..

I agree with doofusMamma. She is right. Get yourself test for AIDS that if you were with him!!! You are finish with him now so get on with your life and let him get on with his. He probably won't reply to your text maybe because he think it has nothing to do with you. Find out!!!

I thought you are finished with him? You don't need to worry about him or anything. If he got other woman pregnant, that is HIS problem. If he didn't know that woman has AID, that is HIS problem. You should not worry about him, time to move on...

there is nothing wrong for you to be friends with your ex boyfriend...i suggest for you to confront him in person....i find hard to believe if mentally retarded girl has aids...
 
It could be possible for a mentally retarded girl to catch AIDS but that would have to be done totally against her will. I hate to think of what happened to her but the only way I can think of how the mentally retarded girl got AIDS is through sexual abuse then a very weak Deaf guy comes along and has sexual relations with a mentally retarded girl who is unfortunately infected with AIDS through no fault of her's. I agree I find it very hard to believe a mentally retarded girl would have the capacity to be able to catch AIDS. I hate to say the only way I can see that is possible is through sexual abuse. That is it. Not only that Deaf guy should have known better than to have sexual relations with that mentally retarded girl. Usually a Down Syndrome boy dates a Down Syndrome girl. I have never seen a normal man date a mentally retarded girl or a girl with Down Syndrome. Nobody obivously really does that so that is very sickening to no ends.
 
Um obviously part of this rumour is false: if ur ex knew anything, he'd know that mentall retarded people(as in, ppl with Downs Syndrome, who have an extra chromosome) CANNOT get pregnant. They are infertile b/c of that extra chromosome. Yes, they can mentstruate and men with DS produce sperm and all that, but due to that extra chromosome, conceiving is impossible.
 
i agree with others that this is none of our business.. but your ex's plms. all u can do is ask him yourself directly instead of ask us here? ur ex bf have info when no one else do? but he is your ex- why worry about it? move on and go on with your life and not worry about him, ok. i know its harsh but its a reality u need to accept it. ok.. :)

Honestly, Racheleggert, I thought you were above listening and spreading a rumor like this?! You should have asked that person who told you this story if you may quote them, then check it out yourself by GOING to your ex-boyfriend, NOT TEXTING him AND not repeating it. :roll: True friends, whether they're dating or just friends (both sexes) would never listen to a rumor about their friend and would go and find their friend to find out for themselves if it's true. If any of my friends were like that, I'd go see them, not call them on the phone, text them (it's not secure) . . . I would go and find them.

What saddens me more than anything, racheleggert, is that you posted this information here without getting his story on it, which makes your action to repeat it just as bad as the person who told you.

Not necessarily but that may be because this is the very first time she is in a very new situation that she never has been in and is asking for advice here , so please keep that in mind because obivously if she was in that situation before then she would have known what steps to take next but to hear about this has to be very disturbing and mind boggling for her and I am sure it would be for anybody who is in that situation for the very first time. Yes most rumors are false information but sometimes rumors do turn out to be true information and a honestly true rumor could potentionally save untold number of lives so you gotta balance it out. In general I usually do not listen to rumors but sometimes rumors do unfortunately turn out to be true and can save lives.

According to this doctor, women with Down syndrome CAN become pregnant.

"Q: Are adults with Down Syndrome sterile?
A: Women with DS are fertile. Men with DS have traditionally been considered sterile; however, there have been two documented cases of adult men with DS fathering children."

Rachael, just don't bother and don't ever talk to him because you didn't want to talk to him ever again. Most rumors made by deaf people aren't true, so don't listen to them. Deaf people with no jobs have nothing better to do, but gossip about everything.

I agree, most of the time, yes but not always I would say 85 to 90 % of Deaf rumors are false the rest may be true real life rumors..

Oh its probably a stupid rumor, not true at all...I pray and hope its not
true at all!! But! if it turns out to be true, that ex boyfriend got her preggy, he is a real bastard for he took advantage of her. Her parents should call the cops on him for raping her! I feel sorry for that retard girl! geez.
