There have been many times when I have been out shopping or just out somewhere and seen a deaf person trying to order something or get something fixed and the person at the counter is just getting annoyed because they can't understand what is going on!
When I see this I go over and ask if the deaf person would like me to help them interpret. It helps to be able to hear in one ear Almost always the person accepts my offer happily.
There should be a requirement to have at least one employee that knows sign working! They always have someone who speaks Spanish! It should be the same for the people BORN in the country to have someone there that can help them easier and not start yelling when dealing with a deaf person...
I had this happen today... it just annoys me that people do this with deaf people!
Now I will go back under my rock...
