I will tell you something Travis. I don't really ever know adjective, adverbs and so on.

I think to improve your grammar, start to read easy children's books and read them a lot and watch the way they are structured.

That is what I have done and I still read a lot and still work to improve. I know you can do it.

It is important that u start with the basics...

Start out with understanding what nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and so on first and then go from there...

Here is a good program that helps people learn and practice writing using the structure of English..

It costs money but if u can go to your local library and see if they have it..
PRO-ED Inc.

We can help you here Travis. This website alone should be pretty good. All you have to do is ask.

You can start it off easy. See if you want to give us a few sentences at a time and we can re-write it for you in proper grammar.

I see KarissaMann has already done a few for you recently.

Read a bunch of books.

Try books that are fun.

Ever read Encyclopedia Brown books?

Those are good, and that kind of reading will really help in a practical grasp of English structure. It is exactly how I have taught myself.

Yeah, the books are great, I would suggest that you follow their advice, smithr, and look into some of those. I had to look into a lot of grammar books when I was growing up.

How about some of us here, anyone willing to help him out on the forum with his grammar? We can have him type out some sentences and we can teach him how to work it properly. It's free, and best of all he is getting to know us in the process.

Hi smithtr

I understand being frustrated about something. I have a Learning Disability and find basic math and certain other things very challenging. Sometimes people say LD doesn't exist, or I have math anxiety, or I should try harder. Sometimes I have a problem pronouncing certain words. Sometimes I am in line and I don't count the change right or fast enough and I know people are waiting and I try my best, but then maybe I 'll just give the cashier a bunch of change, saying "I know you can do this faster/better".

I don't immediately have any book suggestions for you, but I liked those Encyclopedia Brown books too! Yeah, you can choose books or magazines on topics you like - then maybe you're more interested to read them and it will make it more fun.

I can help if you want - if not I understand.
But I am with you on this learning!

Easy. Read the book.

See Spot run. See Spot sniff. See Spot bang.

It is the best way for you to read a lot of children books. Get some books from a public library. Also get a big print of Reader's Digest book.

It's better for you to write less and think about it for now.

Also, find some literacy programs in your area.
